Tired of paying Norton or McAfee
Your $50 bucks every year?

Are you even running a firewall & antivius?
Do you know why you should?

Take our Computer Security Class at Hudson.

Find out how you can protect your computer from

viruses, spyware and malware at no annual cost!

Cost:  $49.00

Weekdays:  T.B.A.  (2 day class, for instance, Monday & Wednesday, or Tuesday & Thursday.  Weekend classes may also be offered.)

Time:  10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Purpose:  Most computer users are aware of the fact that they can be compromised while using the Internet.  They know they should have a firewall installed, plus a good anti-virus program running.  They may also have heard the terms spyware or malware but don’t know how to protect themselves from such security threats.

This class will show the student how to implement three different strategies to ensure he or she is safe while on-line.  In addition, three different FREE products will be introduced to the student (including their operation).  (This is the equivalent of a $75 retail value.)  The student will learn how to navigate to the appropriate web sites, download the software, install the software to a computer and operate the software.

Skill level:  beginner to intermediate.  The student should know the basics of MS Windows, how to create folders, how to save files to folders and how to navigate the Internet. (Typing 15 w.p.m.)

Please note:  the teacher will not have time to cover those basic skills during this class.  Students who are not sure they possess these skills should complete the CARES Beginner’s class first.

Please bring your lap top or a flash stick (a.k.a. memory stick, keychain drive) with you so you can take these programs home with you.

Registration is limited to eight students at a time,

on a first-come, first-served basis.
