Walgreens
Pharmacy Day
- On Wednesday, August 12, a Walgreens Pharmacist will
join us from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Bring your medications with you and he
will answer any questions you may have about them. He will also
address your questions about over the counter medications. Held in
the Rao Musunuru, M.D. Activity Center.

and Magic Jack in action
- Monday, August 3, 10 a.m.
Two new technologies that could be
for you! Skype is audio/visual communication with another person
on the Internet. You see and hear who you are talking to. It’s
great for visiting with grandchildren who live at a distance. The
center director will call up one of our volunteers who also has the
service and you will see and hear how this works. Also we will take
a look at Magic Jack. If you have a computer you may be interested
in this feature that allows you to use your computer to make phone
calls very inexpensively.
Friday afternoon at the Movies -
Friday, July 17, 1 p.m. Stop
in the Musunuru Building and watch “Hotel for Dogs.”
Stay cool and enjoy some pop corn and a cool drink. Save Friday
August 21 for our next movie day featuring "Escape From Witch
Mountain."
Resource
Center - Our Resource
Center, otherwise known as “the computer room,” will now be staffed
during normal business hours. The computers are there for seniors
to use under the supervision of our Resource Room Administrative
Assistants. The use of the computers will be treated just as any of
our other activities at $3 per one hour session.
Travel
Club
- The CARES Rao Musunuru Activity
Travel Club is now re-forming. We have a volunteer willing to work
together with like minded people to begin again in planning trips to
area attractions, restaurants, events and programs. Call the Center
if you are interested in working with this group making phone calls
and doing the necessary clerical work to move the Travel Club
forward. Call after noon and ask for Lola. 863-6868.
SUMMER
HOURS
- The front office will be open 9
a.m.
to 3 p.m. June thru August. Various activities will still go on as
scheduled. Call the office for any additional information.
We will return to our normal hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday,
September 1st.
