Medicare Part D Seminar - December 7, 1 p.m.  Free Seminar, sponsored by Walgreens. Talk to a pharmacist. Part D doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Learn how to choose a plan that’s best for your needs and your budget.

CHRISTMAS COVERED DISH - Wednesday, December 16, 2 to 4 p.m.  Please sign up to attend the Holiday Open House.  The sign up sheet is in the Office and Café volunteer table.  Bring a dish to pass, and a knick-knack or curio or some other item you want to “re-gift.”  There will be drawings, music and items from area businesses, as well as the collectables table.  Gary will prepare the meat dish, just need to know who is coming.  This dinner is open to volunteers, staff, participants - all who call CARES Rao Musunuru MD Enrichment Center “Home” for a portion of their active senior life.  Invite a friend, give them a ride, and plan to meet them here. 

New Years Eve -  7 p.m. to Midnight, $10 per person, bring a dish to share.  Dinner from 7 to 8:30.  A meat dish will be provided by a sponsor and snacks served all evening.  Corporate sponsors will have give-a-ways and drawings.  BYOB, but at midnight a Champagne toast will be provided, or if you prefer, sparkling white grape juice.  Our first event is specifically designed to begin matching the very generous contribution of Dr. Musunuru.  Live music, dancing, videos, comedy, computer visits using Skype with your family and much more !!!  Bring a little extra $$ if you would like to enter some special drawings.  Come for 5 minutes or stay for 5 hours!!  You need not be present to win.  Your ticket is your drawing card.  If you want to support the event but cannot attend you are still eligible to win door prizes.  Door prize tickets can also be pre-purchased at the front desk: $1 per ticket, $2 for 3 tickets or $5 for 10 tickets. 

Resource Center -  Our Resource Center, otherwise known as “the computer room,” will now be staffed during normal business hours.  The computers are there for seniors to use under the supervision of our Resource Room Administrative Assistants.  The use of the computers will be treated just as any of our other activities at $3 per one hour session.

Café Holiday Schedule -  Café is closed Christmas Eve Day (Thursday, December 24) and Reopens, Monday  January 4, 2010.
