A Message from
We will be organizing a Christmas Collection for children and families in need at Hudson Elementary School. Please consider giving of your time, talent, and resources as we collect food, gifts and new clothing for children in our neighborhoods. This is a great way to make the holiday season special during these difficult financial times.
Just for fun, come on out and play some recreational Texas Hold ‘Em. This is for entertainment only, and bragging rights poker could become your new favorite game. There are plans to have a large tournament as a fund raiser, and we hope you’ll plan to attend.
Also, consider purchasing gift certificates for the We Care Café. These certificates will be given out to people that may need some encouragement to get out and be with other seniors. Sometimes need isn’t just financial. Perhaps you know someone who needs to get out and be with others in an environment like our Café. Let Clark know if you know someone who might enjoy a visit to the Café, but is reluctant to try us out.
If you have an idea for an activity or event that would fit nicely into our program here at CARES Center, please share your ideas with me.
Finally, don’t miss out on the Open House scheduled for Friday, November 14, 2008. It is going to be a wonderful event, so make your reservation today.
