The CARES (Community Aging and Retirement Services, Inc.) Volunteer Bill Payer Program was established to assist individuals who are having a problem handling their financial obligations. This Program offers free assistance to seniors age 60 and over who need help writing their checks, paying their monthly bills, balancing their checkbook and/or setting up a budget because of a visual or physical impairment or a mild memory loss. The program is available to elders regardless of their income. The Volunteer Bill Payers are thoroughly screened and trained in all aspects of the program.
