Computer Classes

Need to brush up on your keyboarding or mouse skills?
Do you want to take our Beginner’s Computer class but
you can’t type or don’t know a mouse from a keyboard!?

Was that class you took in high school a long time ago and you can’t remember
the difference  between the tab key and the space bar?

We can help you learn to use a computer keyboard!

Take our basic Keyboarding & Mouse Class
It’s only $25 for two 90 minute classes,
one day per week, for two weeks.

Beginners - $39

We begin with the basics and introduce topics such as word processing, creating folders, saving files, surfing the Internet and sending e-mail with pictures attached.  (Basic keyboarding skills and knowledge of how to use a mouse are required.) The student will learn how to create, format, store and retrieve computer documents.

This course also provides the student with a clear understanding of how the various parts of a computer operate as well as becoming familiar with common computer terminology.  Classes are two hours in length and run for four weeks, one class per week.

We use Windows XP Pro.

Intermediate - $39

This course is for students who have completed the beginner’s class, or have the equivalent knowledge.  We cover the Windows Control Panel and many of its settings.  We also cover the MS Works data base, as well as mail merges and advanced Internet Explorer options & settings.

Students who complete this class will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Works, Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, Yahoo, Google and will have no difficulty using these programs at home.  Classes are two hours in length and run for four weeks, one class per week.

Advanced - $39

This course is for students who have completed the intermediate class, or have the equivalent knowledge.  Advanced topics will include using Microsoft Excel,  advanced features of Microsoft Word such as using tables, graphics and newsletter layout, basic HTML and web page design and a fourth class that may cover digital camera & photography basics, or Microsoft PowerPoint, or possible eBay basics.  (This class is still up for selection, based upon popular demand, so give us your feed back!)
