Betty Pugsley has been actively involved with CARES since our facility opened in 2002. She does double duty, both as a receptionist in the office on Monday mornings, and in the Café on Wednesday mornings. She probably has the best attendance record of any of our volunteers over this five year period. When in the office she is always willing to run errands, fill in if the Café is short handed, count money and carry out any office responsibility that arises during her shift. In the Café she serves as a hostess, tends to the tables and cashiers, In recognition of all that Betty has done for CARES she was named the RSVP Volunteer of the year in 2006 - an honor well deserved.

Joni Peters joined our volunteer program just over one year ago, but her presence is felt by all. She serves our guests in the Café every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11-2 p.m. Her profession is in the Health Care Field. She says that one reason why she loves being in the CAFÉ is because she meets many new people and also renews friendships with nurses and patients she has not seen in a while. She has developed friendships with many volunteers. Joni is a very outgoing, giving person. She also has fun helping at our CARES fundraisers like the Arts & Crafts Show and the Garage Sale. |

Sue Stagliano is a Hostess in the “We Care Café” two days a week in the summertime and on Monday mornings from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the winter season. When Sue was new to the area she was interested in volunteering as a way to meet people. We are glad that she found CARES and joined our volunteer program more than four years ago. Sue has been faithful to her commitment ever since. Sue says she enjoys coming to CARES and that volunteering has proven to be a wonderful way to meet so many nice people. She enjoys being here and we all enjoy having Sue around. Her quiet manner, warm smile and friendliness are a definite asset. |
Thank you, Betty, Joni and Sue for all you have given to CARES!
