CARES honored Ann Hildebrand for her 25 years of continuous service as Pasco County Commissioner at its signature Annual Benefit and Recognition Dinner at Saddlebrook Resort on April 17th.
The Presenting Sponsor and the event’s Master of Ceremonies, Dr. Rao Musunuru, also was recognized as “All-Time Top Donor” for CARES with a painting entitled “Tears of Joy” by local artist Lyndon Scheeren. The artist painted this work following his wife’s successful heart surgery. It depicts a bouquet of flowers coming from the repaired heart, representing her new life.
Over 300 people attended the event which raised $101,000. The proceeds from the successful benefit support home care for the frail elderly, senior enrichment centers and specialized support services.
Ten volunteers from Elfers attended the event and Norm drove the bus.
