On Sunday February 28^th Elfers is pleased to announce the concert debut of the versatile Connley brothers Josh and Matthew from Don Cozby’s class. They will be giving a violin recital and will present a varied program that will include classical, folk and church music. We are hoping for a large crowd to support these talented youngsters in their first public performance.

Seats are $5.00. Pay upon arrival at the front desk.

Calusa Wood Carvers

The 29^th Calusa Wood Carvers Inc Annual Show and Sale will be held on Saturday March 6^th from 10am to 4pm and Sunday March 7^th from 10am to 3pm at the Veterans Memorial Park, 14333 Hicks Road, Hudson. $3.00 suggested donation allows you to look, shop, sit in on seminars and entitles you to have your ticket entered for a door prize (drawings every 30 minutes). Hundreds of carvings will be on display and for sale. In addition to hourly carving related demonstrations, there will be soap carving for kids of all ages and

vendors of tools, books, wood blanks and other supplies. Refreshments will be available. The featured carvers will be Charles Miller from Port St. Lucie, Florida and Lowell Gorrell from Leesbury, Florida. Carvings from the Elfers carving group will be on display and we hope you will come and join us for the show and carving class. TAX PREPARATION

AARP volunteer tax preparation will be at Elfers from February until April 15^th, Monday thru Friday. Call the center at 847-1290 to make an appointment. Please bring last year’s tax return (2008) with all attachments, picture ID, social security card, and all W-2, 1098 and 1099 forms for 2009. If you find you are unable to keep that appointment, please call to cancel or reschedule. We will need all the available time slots so that we don’t have to turn anyone away.
