Bus Fund Appeal

Thanks to all who have already given generously to our ongoing Bus Fund campaign. So far the Fund stands at almost $5,000 and while we really appreciate your donations, we need more! The Travel Department welcomes any amount but large amounts even more, to quote our green Bus Fund flyer. Pick up a flyer at the front desk (in the Communicator rack) to remind yourselves to dig deep and see what you can come up with for this very worthy cause. The Travel Department runs about ten trips a month which means 200 people get out and about. They would like to continue, improve and expand this service for everybody’s enjoyment and well-being. What could be better than a carefree outing in good company? Please, everybody contribute something and encourage friends to give more. Spread the word! And don’t forget there are rewards:

Donate $100 and get 10% discount on one day trip or one month free ¼ page ad in the Communicator. For $500 you get one free day trip (max $50/trip) or 3 months free ¼ page ad in the Communicator. And $1000 gets you two free day trips (max $50/trip) or 6 months free ¼ page ad in the Communicator.
 

Flu shots Information Update:

  Further to last month’s announcement, we have been told that only original Medicare recipients can receive the shot free of charge. Medicare HMO and PPO plan members pay $25 and can be reimbursed by submitting a receipt. Pasco County Department of Health nurses will be here on Wednesday, October 7^th at noon. Please bring your filled out forms with you.
