Caregiver Education Series
"How to
Prevent Injuries in Caregiving"

CARES
(Community Aging and Retirement Services, Inc.) will be holding a
Caregiver Education Series November 11, 2009 at 4:00pm in the Rao
Musunuru M.D. Activity Center, 12417 Clock Tower Parkway, Hudson, FL
34667.
“All too often,
the caregivers will injury themselves in trying to assist a loved
one getting up out of a chair or the bed. When this happens there
are two people that are in need of help,” stated Christine Powers,
CARES Director Adult Day Services. The education series is designed
to give practical and useful information to help with the new tasks,
role reversals and the how-to’s.
Jack Front,
MBA, PT will present on the proper way to help lift, walk with and
assist a person that is frail or physically challenged. Mr. Front
holds a Masters in Business Administration and is presently a
Physical Therapist for the CARES Home Health Department. He will
share his expertise in “Body Mechanics” to prevent unnecessary
injuries.
